  • Laughlin Lagoon is a pristine basin protected from the main channel of the Colorado River by a controlling levy on the Nevada shore.
  • Nevada State Lands administers this riparian area and waterway as a wildlife sanctuary.
  • Permits allow the US Army Corp of Engineers to maintain a navigable channel from the opening in the levy to the Marina.
  • Additionally, some of the nicest white-sand beaches in the area accumulate on the shores of the marina to the western or outflow end of the Lagoon.  Boaters are welcome to explore this area under no-wake conditions.
  • The reed stands and open water areas beyond the channel are open only to non-powered craft and are regularly enjoyed by kayakers and canoeists.  Whether for fishing or bird watching this area has wildlife aplenty.
  • Clean Marina guidelines are all enforced at Laughlin Bay Marina.
